HERITAGE: Lisa Maffia Storms The Charts With Club Smash "All Over" (2003)

Remember I told ya / I'm a soldier!

It's easy to forget the monumental whirlwind that was So Solid Crew and their dominance in UK music. "21 Seconds" was of course an anthem that stands proudly to this day (and it wasn't the only mega hit), but it also launched the careers of several of their more prominent members, one of which was the crew's First Lady, Lisa Maffia.

Her biggest hit in this halcyon period was "All Over", an anthemic rap-R&B banger stacked with quotables that'll bring a nostalgic tear to the eye of any So Solid fan. Taken from her 2003 debut solo album, First Lady, "All Over" climbed to No. 2 in the UK Single Charts, but the album remains her only full-length offering to this day.
