Unsurprisingly, we once again find ourselves thumbing through the Sidewinder archives to bring you some gold. We say unsurprising because those seminal raves were integral to the growth of just about every scene we've had since the '90s, particularly the worlds of jungle, grime, UK garage, and dubstep.

For this video, we've gone back to 2005 for this huge A-list set featuring Kano, Ghetts,D Double E, Lady Fury and more, but it's Essentials crew that we're highlighting today. Essentials (aka Jendor, K Dot, Remerdee, 2Face, the late N.E, and the crew's selector Bossman) are one of the most important crews in grime's history. Along with Roadside G's, they were one of the first to rep for South London in the grime scene and were pivotal in expanding grime's horizons beyond East London.
