It can't be overstated just how important this was. The original appeared on Tinchy Stryder's Third Strike album and featured Chip, Devlin, Example, Giggs, Professor Green, and Tinie Tempah. It enjoyed a respectable amount of success, peaking at number 22 in the charts, but it was this 'Female Takeover' version that made the biggest impact.

Tinchy doesn't actually feature at all on this version, leaving it entirely to the women. Short-lived girl group Ruff Diamondz were billed as the lead artists, with Dotty (or Amplify Dot as she was then), Envy, CherriV, BabyBlue, RoxXxan, Lioness, Mz Bratt, and Lady Leshurr taking turns with a verse each on Ishi's immediately recognisable production.

It was a fun track and a big mainstream boost for a group of MCs who at the time were often criminally overlooked in the male-dominated industry. Although we hardly live in an egalitarian utopia, things have improved a little and this track does deserve some small credit—just ask Lavida Loca who cites the track as the whole reason she put pen to pad in the first place.
