Birmingham's own Jamelia dominated the charts in the first half of the 2000s, thanks mainly to the huge success of her second album Thank You. Of course, the album's biggest single "Superstar" remains a staple in party playlists, but the album spawned many more hits besides that, not least the spine-tinglingly soulful "Stop".

Here she is back in 2004 at the height of the album's reign, performing the track on SM:TV's music-based sister show CD: UK, wowing the audience with her warm vocals and astonishing range. Although focusing mostly on TV work these days, Jamelia's combo of pop and soul is one the newer generations continue to emulate to this day.
