2017 was quite a year for drill fans. Although the sound had been burning a bright flame in the underground for a few years by that point, it was finally starting to attract headlines for the right reasons and some of its biggest starts were breaking out and becoming household names.

Featuring Headie One, RV, their OFB allies Abra Cadabra, Lowkey, Tuggzy, Kash and Zone 2's Karma, Kwengface, it was an historic showing of some of drill's rawest talents on the verge of breaking into the big time.

Drill's come a long way since 2017; at least three of these names are now considered genuine stars and the rest have glowing careers of their own.
