HERITAGE: Hardy Caprio Unleashes His Pure Grime Energy Over This Classic Riddim "Ghetto Kyote" (2014)

A lot has changed in eight years. Grime's resurgence in the mid-2010s was a huge cultural shift and so much of what followed can be traced back to those days. Many of the stars that would lead the way in the worlds of rap, Afroswing and drill first cut their teeth in the grime scene, even if only briefly—including Hardy Caprio.

Although he'd go on to become a master of melody and sun-soaked party jams, back in 2014 he was proving his mettle as a grime MC. His Bl@ckbox freestyle from that era was brilliantly timed and the fact he stepped up to one of grime's GOAT riddims, Treble Clef's "Ghetto Kyote", is testament to both his ability and his fearlessness.
