HERITAGE: Estelle, Wildflower, Skeme And More Perform At 'Jam In The Park' In Finsbury Park (2001)

Right now UK R&B is in possibly the best health it's ever been in and a big part of that is down to the tireless and often thankless work of artists like Estelle. Although a lot of people chiefly remember her for "American Boy", she put in years and years of work not just championing R&B, but also pioneers of British rap like Blak Twang, Roots Manuva and the like. We owe her a lot.

Here she is back in 2001 at Jam In The Park, backed by DJ Skitz, wowing a packed out crowd. While a lot of them may have come for Pharaohe Monch, Slum Village and Mos Def, she made that stage her own that day.
