Look, we'd be the last ones to get all misty-eyed and patriotic, but when they booked Emeli Sandé to perform at the closing ceremony for the London Olympic Games in 2012, we can all at least agree that got that much right.

Performing to thousands of screaming fans with, let's be honest, a less than perfect sound system, there aren't many artists who would've been up to the task, but it was light work for Sandé. Belting out her epic hit "Read All About It (Pt. III)", it was a momentous and genuinely quite emotional performance and a fitting end to that one time this country did something pretty well.
