HERITAGE: East London's Berna Puts His Flows On Full Display In This Now-Infamous Blackbox Freestyle (2016)

It's taken a few years for the rest of the world to catch up, but for those paying attention, Berna's 2016 Blackbox — which happened to be where he made his debut — was an unforgettable introduction to one of UK rap's brightest talents.

Taking on the instrumental from Drake's "Summer Sixteen" the East Londoner effortlessly jumps from rap to grime to take on Stimpy and Scrufizzer's (back when he was Scruface) "Nutty Violins". I can do this flow, I can do HIS flow, he boasts, switching up his flows almost a dozen times to reference all your favourite rhymers.

Nearly five years later and we've been treated to a raft of high-powered singles and a debut album, the excellent Poor Little Rich Kid. Still, we can't help but feel he's only just getting started, though.
