HERITAGE: Che Lingo Lays The Groundwork For Greatness In This S Star TV Freestyle (2012)

October 15, 2019

South London rapper Che Lingo has really found his creative stride in the last couple of years. Last year's appropriately-titled Charisma EP was one of the best of the year and he followed it up very quickly with Sensitive, another seven-tracker that somehow surpassed its predecessor and featured contributions from Kendrick producer Like and Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins.

That didn't happen in a vacuum, of course. Che Lingo's been putting in the hard work for a good few years now, perfecting his flow and paying his dues with freestyles. Here he is back in 2012 with an effortlessly charming freestyle, riding a jazzy production in the vein of DJ Format or Ugly Duckling, kicking out top-tier rhymes without breaking a sweat.
