As much as he's celebrated as a top tier radio sheller, Big Zuu's always deserved credit for his storytelling chops.

This freestyle, filmed relatively early on in his story, is probably one of the strongest examples of his talent. In just over three minutes, Zuu paints vivid pictures of his life growing up in a single parent household, his mum's escape from conflict in Sierra Leone, the worsening cultural and economic divides in Britain, as well as his the path he he took to get him to where he is today.

At the time, just watching Zuu rack up so many views online, dropping well-received singles and so on, even that felt like a huge success story. Compared to how much success he's found with his music now, not to mention his cooking and TV work, this SBTV freestyle feels like a lifetime ago.
