Of course we all know T2 anthem "Heartbroken", the crossover bassline smash that embedded the Northern low-end sound in the charts and the public consciousness, but a surprising fact is that just a couple of years before his debut single he was an aspiring mic man.

Here he is in 2005 dropping some gloriously Yorkshire bars for the Northern Exposure 2 DVD series. The underrated series played an essential role in showcasing Northern talents and bringing London heavyweights like Skepta, Wiley and Ruff Sqwad up to spar with their Yorkshire, Manchester and Birmingham counterparts.
