HERITAGE: Aystar Puts Liverpool On The Map With This Fierce 'Fire In The Booth' Freestyle (2016)

After several years in the game, Liverpudlian rapper Aystar had a massive 2016. Kicking off the year with the Scousematic mixtape, it wasn't long before Charlie Sloth invited him to lay down some bars for the Fire In The Booth series.

Wearing his Scouse accent proudly, Aystar delivers an admirably self-aware and aspirational freestyle that talks about his childhood, his journey so far and his determination to remove any distractions that may get in the way of his career.

That focus has paid off too. Later in the same year the young rapper made a standout appearance on Giggs' The Landlord album alongside Youngs Teflon. Since then he's been in high demand for features, guesting on projects by Dimzy, Ay Em, Stardom, Digga D and more. He's also been tapped up for freestyles on Westwood, Kenny Allstar, Link Up TV, GRM, P110 and more. Between all that, the Scousematic sequel and a constant stream of singles, Aystar is now one of the busiest MCs in the game.
