Even at the height of the So Solid days, Ashley Walters always had one foot in acting and filmmaking, whether it was appearing in 50 Cent's Get Rich Or Die Tryin' or sinking his teeth into critically acclaimed dramas like Bullet Boy.

A year after So Solid officially disbanded things really kicked up a gear and although he maintained a healthy solo career throughout, he started to delve more into documentaries via his production company AD82. One of its early successes was Gone 2 Soon, a short film investigating the root causes of youth violence in London directed and narrated by Dewi Bruce-Konuah.

To promote the doc, which did the rounds at the film festivals but is sadly not on YouTube, Walters did a series of interviews, including this one with Alistair Stewart and Katie Derham for ITV's London Tonight. Although the questions are a little patronising at times, Walters does well, breaking down the root causes and possible solutions to give the younger generation some much-needed hope.
