It will always be a great shame that Ice Kid never quite got the long and successful career he deserved. Chip, understandably, is celebrated for emerging at such a young age with such an effervescent, once-in-a-lifetime talent, but it was much the same for Ice Kid.

Here he is, back in 2007, putting people twice, even three times his age, to shame with a quick freestyle over the instrumental from "Mash" (which featured on Jme's Tropical mixtape). The video quality is not exactly 4K (H/T Off The Radar for the find), but you don't need hi-def visuals to hear the complex rhyme schemes and sharp wit on display.

He may be spraying some absolute foulness, but the imagery and the way he constructs the set-ups and punchlines shows off incredible technical prowess. Long live Ice Kid.
