Though the beginnings of drill had been gradually coalescing for a year or two by this point, Digga D's "Hella Bandz" will always warrant celebration. As well as being one of the few videos to survive the YouTube and the Met Police's culture cull, it's also an example of just how much UK drill's evolved over the past few years.

The sliding 808 bass sound doesn't really make an appearance here, instead it's all machine gun snares and ominous pianos. As for his flow, although he's sounding sharper than ever these days, this 2016 cut just goes to show how much raw lyrical talent he was working with right from day one.
