Headie One's 'Too Loyal… For My Own Good' Has Arrived

October 01, 2021

A year after his chart-topping debut EDNA, Headie One returns with another round of lessons learned and explorative drill soundscapes in his new mixtape titled Too Loyal… For My Own Good.

Housing no guest features at all, the project is guided by an unwavering narrative told through Headie's perspective. Production, however, comes from an expansive cast of characters, including JAE5, TSB, Ghosty, M1OnTheBeat, Scribz Riley, GRADES, TheElements, BURNS, Sean Murdz, Quincy Tellem and more. Together, across 13 tracks, we get everything from the mellow drill of "Love Me For Me?" to the more electronic sounds of "Nothing To Me" to the heavy funk bounce of "Cry".

The latter, incidentally, also comes with some fresh new visuals, which also just dropped. Directed by Capone (the mind behind the "Princess Cuts" visuals with Young T & Bugsey), we see Headie looking right at home, surrounded by loved ones as they kick back and celebrate their achievements.
