Hagan Connects WIth Ayeisha Raquel To Celebrate Family And Heritage On "Pray For Me"
Hagan has announced his debut album Textures with this jazzy new cut "Pray For Me" featuring East London R&B artist Ayeisha Raquel.
It's not often we hear Hagan's beats paired with vocals but Ayeisha provides a heavenly performance over the UK funky backdrop. Pairing hollow djembe patterns with flavoursome piano chords, the track is centred around family, love, and faith. It's another vibrant offering from the innovative producer and instantly increases our excitement for the upcoming project. "Pray For Me" lands after the Amapiano-laced "Sise Ntweni" featuring the supple vocals of South African artist Aymos.
Speaking on the origin of the track, Hagan says, "As the track title states, this track is a reminder of all the personal prayers my grandma would say upon my life and how I'd also do the same for her. Alternatively 'Pray For Me' was written from the perspective of a non-believer that is yearning for something or someone to believe in. Filled with curiosity and desperate for something life-changing, the request to be taught how to pray is humbly made."
Arriving October 7, Textures is a celebration of his African roots, splicing together musical textures from his travels to Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Brazil, and the UK.
