Griminal has released his new album, Grimace, cementing his return with a 12-track statement of intent. He kicked off the grand return last year with "Lincoln", followed by a string of carefully executed singles, all produced by the man himself.

It followed a relatively quiet period from Griminal while he quietly regrouped and gradually pieced together the album—the first seeds of which were sewn eight of nine years ago. In that time, he's honed his talents as a producer and taken the time to get every detail right.

Speaking on the project, Grim shares: "The exploration of music production really started after my first record deal fell apart back in 2011. I've been making beats on and off since then and I really enjoy the process. I'd love to collaborate with artists such as Jorja Smith and Khelani and have them use my beats."

"It's been quite a journey to get to this point," he adds, "but I'm happy and excited to finally be releasing my first project and letting everyone hear what I've been working on whilst I've been away. It's good to be back, especially with the love and support I've received. I'm definitely back at it and here to stay. There are so many exciting things in the pipeline so stay tuned!"

We've also had some stellar videos in the build up to the album, all of which were directed by Birmingham-based director Rico, including the hotly debated "When I'm 'Ere" video with NoLay and Roachee. The most recent video was the unforgettable "Personal" video (which features cameos from Adam Deacon and D Double E.), a uniquely candid visual that detailed Grim's past battles with addiction and loss.
