Greentea Peng Journeys Into Uncharted Territories On 'Greenzone108' Tape

September 12, 2022

Just last summer, South London soulstress Greentea Peng released her debut album Man Made, a vital offering of thought-provoking messages over experimental beds of ragga, R&B, jazz and psychedelic-soul. After disengaging from the static for some peace of mind, she returns a year later with Greenzone108 tape, offering fresh thoughts on authenticity, community, and the push and pull of life.

She connects with producers Nat Powers, Jon Mills, MJ Cole, Swindle and St Francis Hotel who aid in crafting timeless sounds for Greentea's meditations on spiritual elevation. The tape uniquely captures the hustle and bustle of the city life, commenting with her own observations. Tracks like "Feint" urge listeners to protect their psyche while on the previously released "Look To Him" she reflects on the importance of looking within for inspiration.

Greenzone108 documents the steady evolution of Greentea's sound as it journeys further into uncharted territories while remaining true to her London influences. Get stuck into it below.
