Gilly Heller Continues To Make A Name For Himself As A Rap Prodigy With 'Mint' EP

January 29, 2020

Once described as "West London's best kept secret", the cat is well and truly out of the bag as rapper Gilly Heller continues to etch his name into the collective consciousness.

His debut EP, Mint, was first teased last February with the boisterous, Bezzie-produced "Swerve". A second taste came later in August with "Abstract Waters", a bouncy and infectious cut that balanced his laser-focused rhymes with a fluid production style and Teni Tinks' soothing R&B tones.

Now the full EP has dropped and it seems to have made good on a lot of the promises made by those first two singles. Teni Tinks graces two further tracks — "Don't Worry" and "Your World" — with her almost ethereal vocals, with fellow West Londoner Life and soul singer Aanya Martin rounding out the list of features.

With his increasingly adventurous beat selection and an infectious level of creativity, 2020 is Heller's for the taking and this EP just cemented that.
