Ghetts' 'Conflict Of Interest' Has Landed

February 19, 2021

After wowing us with an adventurous run of singles, Plaistow-hailing grime and rap icon Ghetts has today dropped off his new album, Conflict Of Interest.

Those singles — "IC3" with Skepta, "Mozambique" with Jaykae and Moonchild Sanelly, "Proud Family", "Skengman" with Stormzy, and "No Mercy" with Pa Salieu and BackRoad Gee — kept us all guessing as to what the rest of the album could possibly have in store for us, were just a hint of exactly how far-reaching and ambitious the album was going to be.

Arguably his most eclectic release to date, soul, gqom, Afrobeats, rap and more all feature prominently, but it's all held together thanks to the production team that includes TenBillion Dreams, Reiss Nicholas, TJ Amadi (aka TJ 2 Percent), Kadeem Clarke (aka Blk Vynl), and of course his long-standing allies Rude Kid and Sir Spyro.

Besides the ones we already knew about, the features are exactly what you'd expect from an elder statesmen: his old friend Wretch 32 makes a welcome appearance, as do Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, Giggs and Dave. Elsewhere, newer faces like Hamzaa, Miraa May and Aida Lee round out the full list on the expansive, epic 16-track journey.

Take it all in below.
