North London's Fredwave has dropped "Sleep", a blend of genres that somehow borrows from the past while also keeping its gaze firmly fixed on the future.

The production includes a pitched-up, distorted vocal sample layered over glitchy, punchy electronica and a ripping bassline, which all feature at different points in the track.

At times, "Sleep" feels quite minimalist, almost sparse, while elsewhere it's full to the brim with the sounds, creating an intense, borderline overwhelming musical experience that's unlikely to be forgotten.
