Fredo Hits Back With New Album 'Money Can't Buy Happiness'

February 01, 2021

West London trailblazer Fredo has released his new album "Money Can't Buy Happiness" to huge fanfare. After sometime away from the game, Fredo is back throwing punches in full swing delivering an album of incredible realness, in typical Fredo style. The project had a significant input from Streatham Vale rapper Dave, who demonstrates his technical ability on the buttons for several of the tracks while also acting as the project's executive producer.

Throughout the tape Fredo shows us why he's one of the most highly rated in the rap game through exuberant bars and charisma, intertwined with exhilarating instrumentals. Feature-wise, Fredo brings out some well-known stars including the late Pop Smoke and Young Adz on "Burner on Deck", and Summer Walker "Ready", which uses the Enya and Delfonics samples from famed the Fugees' "Ready Or Not".

Speaking on the album, Fredo says: "I want to apologise for the wait. I had a whole different style album that didn't really mean anything to me. Meanwhile a lot was going on in life that I was angry and confused about. I really thought that once you have money you can't not be happy inside even if stuff's going on but it's not like that. I felt like the project I was working on before was me but doesn't really explain me. I don't want people thinking that certain things I rap about are important or the key of life because they're not. Most things I rap about are just what I been through or reality for me and my friends."
