Flowdan Combines With Producer Abstrakt Sonance For Experimental 'No Celebrations' EP
Esteemed in grime folklore, Flowdan is back with his new EP No Celebrations, a four-track collection of deep and experimental grime tracks in collaboration with producer Abstrakt Sonance.
The new EP balances eerie sonics with a pronounced East Asian influence, juxtaposing sounds associated with tranquillity against uneasy atmospherics, giving us a project that is unconventional yet surprisingly spiritual.
"Stash", "Duppy N Win" and "Banging Like A 45" are particularly unique, with potent lyrics splattered against mystical string instruments that symbolise the duality of life. Sandwiched in-between is "Come From", which is far more sinister, with a booming, marching bass sound and rapid-fire spitting from Flowdan who stamps his authority on each track with his typically commanding tone and gruff patois flow.
No Celebrations is a gateway to the musically gifted mind of Flowdan; hit play below to join him on the journey.
