FLO Cut Ties With The Past On Festive-Themed "Losing You"

December 16, 2022

R&B trio FLO end the year with an emotional release on their latest gem titled "Losing you".

For the production they've again connected with MNEK alongside RELYT, Joe Gosling who build a delicate soundscape of ethereal strings, guitar plucks and supple backing vocals while each singer takes the lead on a verse.

"Losing You" sees them divert from the edgy R&B route of "Not My Job", creating a classic, festive tune that gracefully leans into sisterhood for loving support. Their vocals are as impressive as ever, using acrobatic runs and elongated notes to capture that feeling of finally taking a deep exhale after pulling the plug on a tiresome relationship.

In a statement they shared: "It's fitting that 'Losing You' is being released this time of the year as it's all about going through a loss but somehow being comforted by it. It reminds you of how content you are by yourself and finding that cheerful spirit during a tough time."

FLO have been on a literal winning streak this year as the first group to ever win a Brit Rising Star Award and a Best Newcomer MOBO nomination alongside a BBC Sound Of 2023 shortlist. It comes as no surprise that they've sold out their debut London and Manchester shows for 2023 so if you missed out on the tickets, take in the visuals for "Losing You" below, directed by Meekz and Frost.
