Now that we're all enraptured with Octavian, it's about time the rest of Essie Gang got their share of attention. Casual internet observers will have noticed the Essie producer J Rick has been doing the rounds in the build up to the release of his Short project, and now it's the turn of another of the crew's lyricists, L3.

His new single "Ultimate" taps into the trippy futurism and wavy melodies that elevated Octavian to the top of our playlists in the first place, but L3 takes it even further. The fluid lyrics and off-kilter, almost dizzying melodies will leave you feeling pretty spaced out on their own — and that's before you've even watched the mind-bending, infrared-style visuals from Stem Studios.
