Kojey Radical & Wretch 32 Go Toe-To-Toe On Emil-Produced "Blood & Sweat"
South London beatsmith emil recently provided the dreamy soundscape for DC’s recent offering "The Latest", he's now scouted rap's finest lyricists, Wretch 32 and Kojey Radical, for "Blood & Sweat".
For the production, emil builds on his hip-hop and soul aesthetic through soft-textured instrumentation and a looped saxophone melody—the perfect setting for the conversational flow of bars between both rappers. In this understated performance, they finish each other's thoughts, creating a seamless transition between two perspectives on life lessons, success and legacy.
It's the first we're hearing of Wretch 32 since last year's Little Big Man, while Kojey recently lent a verse to Kae Tempest on the electronic cut "Move Rework". Press play on the video below to catch the trio in a state of introspection.
