Emerging South London Rapper Keedz Shares Self-Directed "Thank You Mama" Video

March 09, 2018

If you followed Skepta and Levi's Music Project last year, you'll definitely remember South London rapper Keedz. Her lyrical agility and boundless enthusiasm marked her out as one of the project's leading talents and culminated in the release of her Let Me Introduce Myself EP in the summer.

Now a fully certified artist in her own right, she's back with the visuals for one of the EPs highlights, "Thank You Mama", a video she directed herself.

Across the summery hip-hop production, Keedz weaves a highly lyrical story of her journey so far; from her days on the block, smoking weed every day to performing live on stage as part of the Skepta-fronted Levi's Music Project that gave her a boost last year.

A little different from her usual grime output, "Thank You Mama" has a charmingly honest tone that'll leave you singing the hook for weeks.
