East Midlands Rapper Compz Takes On "Froggy" Instrumental For Straight-Talking "No Cap"

February 11, 2020

The days of UK rap being confined to London are thankfully long since over and now regional accents are both a badge of honour and a valuable tool that can sculpt your flow. The latest to capitalise on this is Wellingborough rapper Compz whose new single, "No Cap", leans into that Midlands connection by making full use of Thomas Mellor's seminal "Froggy" instrumental for Jaykae and Dapz On The Map.

The track itself is a surprisingly bouncy one with Compz using his punchy flow to keep the energy high, especially on the hook. Bringing to life Compz's no-nonsense rhymes are these moody, late night visuals filmed by Aint No Saints Recordings, putting Compz and his highly quotable bars front and centre.
