E.M.M.A Announces Long-Awaited 'Indigo Dream' Album

July 08, 2020

Seven years on from the release of her breakthrough debut LP, Blue Gardens, E.M.M.A is back with news of long-awaited follow-up Indigo Dream (due July 29). Unsurprisingly, given the time that's passed, anticipation from her fans for this project is at an all-time high.

The intervening years have of course been busy for E.M.M.A — she founded her Pastel Prism Records label; created the Producer Girls series of workshops with P Jam, Dexplicit, Ikonika and Nightwave; and has become notorious for her soundtrack work, collaborating with Gucci and Chanel, and working on scores for several short films such as That Girl.

In addition to the announcement, we also got the artwork — designed by Morgan Hislop with text design by Patrick Savile, and photography from Ivan Weiss and Sophie Davies — as well as lead single "Into Indigo", an atmospheric creation with hints of her club roots embedded in rich sonic textures.

The nine-track album will be released digitally and on cassette via Local Action who have stated that 10% of their profits will go towards the BIGKID Foundation, a youth charity based in South London.
