West London's Dreya Mac Reminds Us Of Her Rap Credentials On Karma Kid-Produced "Bag"

Last year, West London's Dreya Mac debuted with "Sativa" and then "Skippin". Both tracks showed off an instinct for rap, but even at their rowdiest, that was offset with smooth, melodic touches. However, on her new Karma Kid-produced single, "Bag", it's nothing but bars and the energy is sky high.

Followers of hers will already know about her history as a dancer and thankfully that still plays a pivotal role in the visuals she co-directed with Charlie Di Placido. Running through what looks like an abandoned warehouse space with a squad of dancers, it's clear this is going to translate well to big stages when live music returns.

"'Bag' is all about me; what I'm about to do in music and life, what I do and don't like, my family," she explains. "Even down to the structure of the song, it depicts my sporadic thought process in general conversations and shows my crazy energy. It was definitely made for moshpits and festivals. I met Karma Kid at the end of last year. My manager organised a session and we clicked instantly. He really cares about his music so it was great for me as I'm the same. I heard the guitar play through the speaker in the session and I pictured the video instantly."
