Despite what you might have heard, there's still plenty of life in the grime scene.

Combining for a rush of nostalgia, Diesle D Power and Skepta have connected for a grime cut that's soaked in history. Referencing classic sets on Deja (pull up to the radio and do it how we did it on 92.3), old school promoters Mix It Up (Bags full of cash like Ricky and Ingrid) and the scene's formative years, the two vets make light work of the woozy, sludgy Silencer riddim.

Bringing all those moments from grime's history to the present day, the video from director Dego Visionz is packed with cameos, including appearances from D Double E, Jammer, Shorty, Frisco, Footsie and quite a few more besides.

Grime may not be at the forefront of the mainstream consciousness right now, but this is a rock solid reminder that it's always bubbling away beneath the surface, ready to snap back at any moment.
