Building on a run of recent team-ups with Ama Jones, KEYAH/BLU, and of course "Wanna Know"/"Trucks" with Lord Apex and Demae, Denzel Himself is still very much in a collaborative mood as he presents his latest single, "Special" with calmzulu, a prodigious talent who's already banged out two full-length projects and half a dozen singles in the past couple of years.

Denzel's delivery is coarse and raspy while calmzulu counters with a more soulful, measured approach. Denzel also handles the production here, opting for a less-is-more approach, save for the tumbling, off-kilter production that jets the track forward.
