DC Returns With Blanco-Assisted "The Curb" And News Of A New Project
DC releases have been all too rare lately, but that looks set to change with the release of his new joint, "The Curb", which features South London's Blanco.
Sammy Sosa gives the duo a jumpy beat that speaks to DC's roots in grime. Both he and Blanco are known for their laidback, cool-headed delivery, but with Blanco's register slightly higher than DC's and both sharing a fun and skippy flow, the South London duo show an easy chemistry as they float on the beat.
Speaking on the track, DC says: "I feel like 'The Curb' came out exactly how I wanted it to. From the Blanco feature to the feel and vibe of the tune. I wanted something with a bit of tempo to it, I speak about the grime influences I've had coming up and this track was one of those ones where I wanted to tap into that. Even down to the back and forth between me and Blanco, it was all an ode to that influence."
"The Curb" arrives as the first release in the rollout of DC's upcoming project. His debut EP, In The Loop, came out in 2021 and he's been seen on tracks with producers KwolleM and Emil since, and regular shifts with his old pal Knucks, of course. Still, a full-length project from the South East Londoner is due, and thankfully it seems that DC is ready to make his mark again.
