After the one-two punch of "Soldier" and "Maze Hill", DC is back with another new single this year, "Misunderstood", featuring Bawo.

Jony Beats' piano-led production sets a mellow scene for the pair who come together for one of the most chilled-out tracks in either of their catalogues. DC and Bawo make for a natural pairing, both with flows that have a light-footed briskness to them, and Bawo's melodic turn on the hook is the cherry on top.

Sharing some thoughts on the track's meaning, DC explains: "'Misunderstood' is a song that's about reality vs perception and it's summed up by the first two lines; being viewed as anti when there's a reason behind that environment. It lends itself to the idea that 'all things can be true' and I wanted it to feel upbeat as song's like this are easy to make sound dark and moody."
