Rising South London rapper David GotSound has been working overtime lately. 2020 saw him deliver his album, The Mountains, and more recently he's kept us well fed with loosies like "Calm Before The Storm" and "December". Now he returns with another interpretation of alternative drill on his new joint, "No Handouts", featuring South East London rapper Kish!.

Much like the rest of his discography, David's drill inspirations make themselves heard loud and clear, whether it's through his technical abilities or his chosen style of production, but it's the underground hip-hop elements and samples that set him far apart from his peers.

"No Handouts" is another reminder of this, with its combination of jumpy percussion, mellow piano chords and atmospheric layers that tie in with the introspective vibe of the track. As Kish! joins in with his free-flowing rhymes, the pair reflect on their work rate and their determination to make their dreams a reality.
