Dave And Stormzy Unite UK Rap's Top Tier For Celebratory "Clash" Visuals

July 09, 2021

Earlier this week, Dave sat down with style bible GQ to talk through his career and, most importantly, spill some details on his imminent new album, We're All Alone In This Together, a title coined by famed film composer Hans Zimmer.

The interview dropped barely 12 hours after Dave first announced the album, his first since 2019's Psychodrama. It was also announced that a Stormzy collaboration called "Clash", the first taste of the LP, was just around the corner. That day has now arrived and we've also been given some fresh visuals courtesy of director Edem Wornoo.

The low-slung collaboration was produced by Kyle Evans and backs the two kings with a booming instrumental while they bounce their rhymes back-and-forth, casually one-upping each other with tales of supermodels, fast cars and expensive watches (as well as a tongue-in-cheek mention of Stormzy's run-in with Chip last year).

Of course, the visuals are just as lavish and play up to the whole celebratory vibe of a new Dave album, the Euros, and the potential end of lockdown. Gathering together rap's upper echelons—Fredo and Headie One make particularly conspicuous appearances—they drink to their successes because, no matter what happens, nothing's going to bring them down.

We're All Alone In This Together is due to drop July 23.
