South London rapper Cristale has kept her foot on the gas over the past few months and her newest single "Militant" is nothing short of a banger and only proves why we should be tuned in to her this year.

Producer Zel takes charge of the beat, providing a playful drill-heavy backdrop as Cristale loads up another round of punchy flows and forthright bars about her upwards trajectory through the UK rap space, letting us know there's much more to come.

"Militant" arrives with some action-packed, Yukki-directed visuals where she plays the roles of a military commander and a royal. Dressed in an elegant gown, she claims her crown before taking to the battle ground and tending to some serious business.

Speaking on the track, Cristale says: "This song is one of my favourites, as it taps into my own experiences with anger and overwhelming feelings. Being 'militant' is like being in a frenzy; growing up you might find yourself emotionally overwhelmed or "militant" more often than you'd like to be, and that's ok."
