Cristale Keeps Her Foot On The Gas With Punchy "Merryland"

Ascending Brixton rapper Cristale lands with punchy new track "Merryland", a smooth follow-up to August's "Morgan".

Released via 4ZA, ZEL handles the production once again, providing a slightly menacing drill beat for Cristale to lace with visceral bars about her journey so far. Blending UK drill with hip-hop influences, Cristale is unrelenting with her flow and delivery, attacking the beat with an audible passion and attention to detail.

"Merryland" arrives with a set of visuals by JDot TV where Cristale performs her bars at a fun fair, keeping things light-hearted whilst packing layers of meaning into the visual treatment.

"'Merryland' itself is supposed to be a symbol for escapism," Cristale explains. "It represents the 'happy place' that stereotypically exists in the mind of an individual and inaccessible levels of freedom in all categories."

Cristale continues to assert herself as one to watch in the UK rap space one track at a time. Take in "Merryland" below.
