Chip Salutes Central Cee On "C Freestyle"

Flukes' classic beat is having a bit of a moment it seems.

Central Cee kicked things off last week when he jumped on the "I Have Nothing" riddim and now Chip's stepped up with his take: "C Freestyle".

At first, some mistakenly thought Chip was in war mode, here to respond to lines like "Ask anybody born after '95 who made them wanna jump on grime they tell you it's me."

That wasn't the only provocative moment on the track, either. In response to some perceived subliminals, Digga D issued a brief response via his management team, simply stating "I ain't Drake or Kendrick". Meanwhile, the line "I'm the reason the UK valid" ruffled more than a few feathers to say the least.

As it turned out, Chip was jumping on the Flukes riddim to show his support for Cench, saluting him and making clear, "I ain't one of them olders hating / I tell Central that I rate him / his progression's motivating," and even including him in the video alongside Young Adz.

This new drop signals a big return for Chip who is currently gearing up to release his next mixtape, Neighbourhood on May 31. In the meantime, tap into this fresh take on a classic grime riddim below.
