Yorkshire Spitter Chiedu Oraka Has Destruction On His Mind In "Late Night Shift" Video

June 01, 2022

Arriving shortly after the release of his five-track EP, Council Estate Confidence, Yorkshire rapper Chiedu Oraka has delivered a tense music video for the closing track on the project titled "Late Night Shift", produced by Deezkid.

The video, directed by JJKORY, pieces together Chiedu's carefully laid-out narrative of a robbery carried out under cover of darkness. The action begins with Chiedu scouting a family home, plotting the best time to move forward with his planned heist. While that unfolds visually, Chiedu's bars lure us deeper and deeper into this world, walking us through every turn of the story. Then, just as the tension reaches its peak, we're left dangling on a cliffhanger. A stressful ending, but hopefully that just means there's more to come.

Speaking on the EP as a whole, Chiedu Oraka states: "I feel Council Estate Confidence is an EP that puts me right up there with my peers. There is a song on the project for everyone. I've never been afraid to venture into different topic matters and this EP I feel proves that. This project shows my confident side and my vulnerable side too, I'm giving you street and club bangers and I am also giving you vivid stories that will leave the listener wanting to hear more. The producers did a wicked job in helping me create something special. So you know I have to hail them up."
