Chase & Status are back with the video for their new single, "Gone Too Far", featuring neo-soul singer Debbie.

This is the second single to be taken from their forthcoming album, Generic Everything, following J Hus and IRAH collaboration "Disgruntled". Also due to be featured on the album, which arrives on October 2, are Little Simz, Skrillex, Giggs, D Double E, Blanco, Col3trane, Finessekid, Debbie, Saam Sultan and Ledbyher.

"Gone Too Far" is a more melodic turn from the D&B duo, matching Debbie's stunning vocals against some cooler, breezier breakbeats and subtle melodic arrangements before erupting into pure D&B euphoria.

As for the rest of the album, the duo promise it will be more eclectic than ever before, with soul, rock, rave, dubstep and more folded into their sound.

Speaking on the album, Chase & Status share: "Generic Everything is about resisting the pressure to become the same as everyone else. In a world shaped by AI, algorithms and endless content, creativity is constantly being pushed towards what's familiar, safe and predictable.

"The cube is our symbol for that pressure; a place where original ideas are squeezed into the same shape. This album is about pushing back. Every song, visual and show is an attempt to break out of the cube and create something that feels genuinely different.

"The idea isn't simply that creativity is trapped. It's that it's being forced to conform."

The new album follows on from a triplet of D&B-rap crossovers ("Through The Pain" with Pozer, "Doin' It More" with Blade Brown, and "Homework" with Lancey Foux).

Hit play on the video below, which was directed by Segraphy, Joa Spruijt and Robin van Geemen.
