Ceebo is back with a new single and a bone to pick with the industry.

New track "Parable Of A Skinnyman" digs into the lingering issue of artists and musicians not getting what they're owed. Sadly, it's not a new subject, but Ceebo serves it up in a fresh format, using Skinnyman's story as a case study.

The story of Skinnyman not seeing any royalties from Council Estate Of Mind for 20 years may be an extreme one, but it does point to a wider issue. When coupled with the issue of dwindling streaming royalties, it's becoming increasingly impractical for musicians to even make music. The video, directed by THRTNMO, underscores the point perfectly, using a one-shot treatment to cut through the noise and drive home the urgency of the issue.

Ceebo has been on an almighty run for the past few years. His two latest projects, 2024's LAMBETHNOTLA and last year's Blair Babies, were huge moments for the Lambeth rhymer. Blair Babies in particular was a breakout moment for him. Far from daunted or under pressure, he seems buoyed by the success. Word has it, the new track opens up a new phase for Ceebo.
