Cashh Reconnects With His Jamaican Roots In "Wash Clothes" Visuals

October 06, 2021

Cashh's journey has been one to watch over the years as he continues to rise above adversity, channeling those experiences and emotions into his music. In the spirit of consistency he takes us back to his roots in Jamaica for new track "Wash Clothes".

Producer Deanyboy handles the instrumental on this one, building on a sequence of thumping kicks and snare, and decorating it with a melodic piano line. Against that backdrop, Cashh uses his patois-laden bars and instinct for melody to paint a vivid picture of his experiences.

Lyrically, Cashh details his environment during his time in Jamaica and the surrounding culture, from household chores to street politics. The accompanying visuals from director 300K see him passing through his neighbourhood, capturing the liveliness and community along the way.

"Wash Clothes" is another indicator of Cashh's polarity when it comes to his music and sets the bar high for what to expect in his upcoming album Return Of The Immigrant, expected November 5.
