Bree Runway continues to showcase the vastness of her creativity, inviting listeners on a dynamic journey into her sonic and visual world. In her latest single "Somebody Like You" she veers from her usual uptempo prowess to express her desire for genuine love and connection.

EASYFUN, LIOHN, Klahr and Levi Gordon share production credits for this one, building an 80s-tinged bed of atmospheric synths and drums while Bree steers the ship with her captivating melodies. She soars over the production, revealing her exceptional talents as a vocalist and performer, sustaining elongated notes with unwavering power. Finally, closing the track with a cyborg-like voice effect, she pleads, "Oh I wanna die for somebody like you. Do some fucking time for somebody like you".

Speaking on the track, she describes it as "an ode to my future lover. In a generation where love and relationships have become so transactional, I'm still preserving myself for the real thing.

"[On] 'Somebody like you' he is also like me, he will see value in a love that can't be bought, it simply just is. It can be such an empty, soulless generation but in all of that I am still sure there is a precious diamond in all the dirt for me."
