Blanco Reflects On The Duality Of Life In "Time Out" Visuals

January 19, 2022

It's been a few short months since Kennington rapper Blanco handed over his compelling debut album City Of God. Loaded with Baile funk rhythms, drill sentiments and contemplative bars, there wasn't a dull moment on the project. One standout track titled "Time Out" now arrives with an intimate Romael-directed video.

Weaving in football references, Blanco shares the contrasting dual lifestyles of him and his peers. Putting that contrast on screen, we get shots of Blanco alone with a mic stand, spitting in the shadow of looming estate blocks, which are then countered with scenes of him and his pals cutting loose in a flashy high-rise apartment.

This isn't even the his first drop of 2022. In fact, it was just last week that Blanco sweetened listeners with "Symmetry", which follows his signature sound of funky rhythms and warped melodies. With any luck, this is a sign of what's to come. Take "Time Out" for a spin below.
