Blanco Keeps His Foot On The Pedal With "Carpe Diem"

March 08, 2023

Having primed us with a couple of collabs and features over the past few months, Blanco returns with jazzy rap joint "Carpe Diem", produced by Jacob Manson and Ashton Sellars.

Over a sunny, pitched-up sample, the Kennington spitter flexes his muscles with typical swagger and his patented slippery flow. Throwing in nonstop football references and cartoon character namedrops at 100 miles an hour, Blanco barely draws for breath yet somehow doesn't seem to break a sweat.

Blanco's 2021 debut project City Of God project showed an eagerness to experiment and challenge the expectations of what a rapper with a drill background should sound like. With all this renewed activity, odds are good that 2023 will give us a follow-up. In the meantime, get into "Carpe Diem" below.

With all this renewed activity, odds are good that 2023 will give us a follow-up to City Of God, an explosive debut that showed an eagerness to experiment and challenge the expectations of what a rapper with a drill background should sound like.

In the meantime, hit play on the "Carpe Diem" video below to catch Blanco and the team roaming the nighttime city streets from dusk til dawn.
