Black Josh & Sly Moon Invade Oxford Street In "Council Pop" Video

Blah Records mainstays Black Josh and Sly Moon have linked up to bring the bars on new collab "Council Pop".

Black Josh wears his Mancunian credentials proudly with a blend of straight-edged, unfiltered hip-hop, or as he calls it "that council pop rap". Telling tales of debauchery and unhinged partying, their slippery flows manage to make even the wildest stories sound silky smooth.

The track is produced by label boss Lee Scott, who gives us a boom bap instrumental with a classic yet fresh feel to bolster the pair's dynamism. Directed by James Driscoll, the video sees the two rhymers take on London's Oxford St, bringing some much-needed authenticity to the land of consumerism.

According to a recent post on Josh's Instagram, "Council Pop" is lifted from an upcoming project due for release via Blah Records in the near future.
