South London soul singer BINA is closing out 2023 in style.

Her latest drop, "Dopamine", captures everything that makes the South London neo-soul talent such a vital force in UK soul. Her delivery chops and changes between a distant shout or hushed, intimate tones, offering abstract and insightful lyrics to engage the listener's brain, while the minimalist yet imaginative instrumental from multi-talented producer Subculture keeps the listener's ear captive.

Taking to Instagram, Subculture shares a detailed description of the process of making ''Dopamine'' with BINA: "We made this on our first ever session… at the start of the sessions we'd often sit, take a record from my collection and listen from start to finish before we started even thinking about creating. She insisted we try so we listened to Courtney Barnett's ''Tell Me How You Really Feel''. I don't think we took much stylistically but I think it helped the process on a much deeper level."

"Dopamine" arrives as BINA wraps up a stint opening up for Yazmin Lacey on the UK leg of her tour. Hinting that there's more to look forward to, Subculture has also commented that the pair have more tunes stashed away in the locker. Hopefully, they'll see the light of day sooner rather than later.
